KATJA KHANIUKOVA
Born in Kyiv, Ukraine and graduated from Kyiv State Ballet School. She worked at the National Opera of Ukraine as a Principal. In 2014 she joined the English National Ballet , where currently is a First Soloist.
Roles highlights include: Giselle(“Giselle”), Sugar Plum (“The Nutcracker”), Odette/Odile, pas-des-trois (“Swan Lake”), Novice (“The Cage” by Jerome Robbins), Adagio Hammerklavier by Hans Van Manen, Frida Kahlo (“Broken Wings” by Annabelle Ochoa), Mistress (“Manon” by Sir Keneth MacMillan), Medora,Gulnare (“Le Corsaire” by Anne-Marie Holmes), Juliet (“Romeo and Juliet”) ,Juliet (“Radio and Juliet” by Edward Clug) , Kitri (“Don Quixote”), Aurora,Princess Florine (“Sleeping Beauty”).
Awards:
-2005 Gold Medal at Serge Lyfar International Ballet Competition (Ukraine)
-2011 Gold Medal at Seoul International Ballet Competition (Korea)
-2012 Gold Medal at Istanbul International Ballet Competition (Turkey)
In 2020 received Critics’ Circle National Dance Award(UK) for Outstanding Female Performance (classical).
