Born in Donetsk, Ukraine, Denys Cherevychko began his dance journey in character dance.
At six, he joined Vadim Pisarev’s Ballet Academy, where his formal ballet training led him to win, at 16, first prize at the Serge Lifar Competition in Kyiv. This prize came with a scholarship at the esteemed Heinz Bosl Ballet Academy in Munich, where he studied under the legendary Alexandr Prokofiev, who trained Andris Liepa, Irek Mukhamedov, and many other stars of ballet.

Denys’s dedication earned him top prizes at Tanzolymp, Berlin, a silver medal at the USA International Ballet Competition, and gold medals at the international ballet competitions of Korea and Varna. Post-academy, Denys swiftly joined the Vienna State Ballet, ascending to
Principal dancer by Director Manuel Legris in 2012. A distinguished performer, he was nominated for the Prix Benois de la Danse.

Known for his remarkable adaptability, Denys has twice embraced the challenge of learning and dancing leading roles on the very day of
performance. His global reputation as a guest Principal Dancer has seen him partner with Alessandra Ferri, Maia Makhateli, and Mayara Magri, showcasing his versatility across a repertoire of over 60
pieces. Denys graces international stages from the traditional "Giselle," "Don Quixote" by Rudolf Nureyev, the exhilarating "The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude" by William Forsythe, "5 Tangos" by Hans van Manen, "Jewels" by George Balanchine, the emotional "Onegin" by John Cranko, to the contemporary brilliance of "EDEN|EDEN" by Wayne McGregor, and "A million kisses to my skin" by David Dawson.
